About Whoosh

Whoosh finds sale clothes worth buying. We check the price before the drop, rank what's left and put the good stuff first. That's the whole idea.

No fake sales

Plenty of sales are only sales because the old price was inflated. So each deal carries a price check. "Genuine drop" means today's price is the lowest we've recorded in the last 90 days. "Dipped lower before" means it was cheaper recently, and we show you by how much. "Price history building" means we haven't watched the item long enough to say.

The button scale

Every deal is rated in button holes, from one to four, based on a score out of 100. Four holes (80 or more) is a find. The score comes from discount size (35%), popularity (30%), how recently the price dropped (15%), customer rating (10%) and stock (10%). If a retailer doesn't share a signal, we leave it out of the maths instead of counting it as zero, and say "limited data".

Who edits it

Whoosh is edited by Lila Willeman. Lila chooses the pick of the week and writes the notes on items.

How Whoosh makes money

When you click through and buy, the retailer may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra and doesn't change an item's rank. See our affiliate disclosure.

What we don't do

We don't sell clothes ourselves. Purchases, delivery and returns are handled by the retailer.
